The Allegany County facility plays a crucial role in the company’s national supply chain and employs hundreds of local residents.

Solar One proudly partnered with American Woodmark  to design and install a high-efficiency solar energy system at their Allegany manufacturing facility in western Maryland. With an abundance of available rooftop space at the American Woodmark Allegany manufacturing facility, Solar One engineered and installed a large-scale solar energy system totaling 2,622.55 kW. This custom-designed installation is projected to generate approximately 3,084,060 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of clean electricity annually — significantly reducing energy costs and offsetting the facility’s carbon footprint.
